Hi.

« on: January 09, 2009, 07:31:14 AM »

Version 4.5 ~ Completed 2/26/2009
Fixed bug where it battery button wouldn't go back to loader.

Version 4.0 ~ Completed 2/26/2009
Small update...this version will not flash the loader with undefined and then load the dialpad, it'll just load the dialpad directly if you have it set to load something by default.

Let me know if you guys have any problems.

************************************************************************************

What do I need to do install the loader/custom dialpads?
-Data cable (not usb charging cable)
-Bitpim/EFS (get from downloads section of site)
        -Notepad to edit text file

Instructions:
(1) Rename T1_dialPad_loader.swf --> T1_dialPad.swf This step has been done for you.
(2) Replace T1_dialPad.swf in your /LGAPP/Media/Flash/ directory
(3) Make sure all the dialpads you want are called T1_dialPad_xxxxxx.swf
(4) Create a text file called "dialpads.txt" (See Attached)
(5) Put the names of the dialpads (xxxxx only) in the text file, ONE PER LINE (See Attached)

To make a particular dialpad the default one to be loaded, put a 1 at the top of your dialpads.txt file (see attached) and put the dialpad you want to be then default on the second line.  So in the example...mario is the default dialpad and will load up every time.  If you DO NOT want a default dialpad...put a 0 in the top of the text file.

(6) Create a folder called "dialpads"
(7) Place all dialpads AND dialpads.txt inside of the folder.

PHONE MEMORY
(8A) Place dialpads folder and contents inside of /LGAPP/Media/Flash/

MEMORY CARD
(8B) Place dialpads folder and contents inside of /mmc1/

(Thanks SD1 for pointing out this wasn't 100% clear)

ON EACH DIALPAD YOU CAN CLICK THE BATTERY ICON TO GO BACK TO THE LOADER, HOWEVER IT WILL NOT CHANGE YOUR DEFAULT.  YOU CAN ONLY CHANGE YOUR DEFAULT VIA THE TEXT FILE FOR NOW.

Download available custom dialpads here.

Note: This does not interfere with the themes since you would have to be in the main screen to use the battery to change it. The battery button in the dialpad menu will get you back to the dialpad loader.

So its either i use the dialPad loader orrr keep the previous "dialPad screen lock hack"...

I like the differnet dialpads, but cant stand the locking every 2 seconds thing...

I know that i'll learn to deal with it for now, until a fix is available, but also i know that i like the new dialpads too much to not use them...LOL

Thanks for the cool mods producingyou, and i'll be lookin' for more! I just recently got Flash CS4 Pro, and some video tutorials, and wanna learn to make my own "tweaks", but dont have much time to dedicate to using it....keep up the good work, and thanks again!

UPDATE: I put the "1" at the top of my dialPad text, and it makes my first choice the default, but i cant change them...i cant tap the battery icon to change them or go back...I tried putting a "0" and im just not getting it. Im sure im over looking something simple, but i want a default, but want to be able to show off the others....any advice?

Well I plan on fixing the lock thing either tomorrow or wednesday so you won't have to wait too long.

All *my* themes have the battery button thing, make sure you re-install them (i uploaded them today).
I am not sure if turbomonkey's themes have the button (I don't think they do).
Setting the # to 0 will only mean it won't automatically load up a dialpad.

hope this clears things up.

You name the custom ones T1_dialpad_whatever.swf

For example

T1_dialPad_mario.swf

Ok... I put the dialPad .swf file into the flash directory, created the dialPads folder, placed the .txt file and the .swf file (T1_dialPad_mario.swf) in said folder, and yet I still have the original dial pad.

How do I change the pad?  Do I need to delete the default dial pad file?  ...Which file is it?  I have the LG Vu TU915...

I'm also having a problem with the dialPad loader. I also copied T1_dialPad_loader2.swf to the LGAPP\flash directory as T1_dialPad.swf, created a directory LGAPP/flash/dialpads, copied T1_dialPad_blueice.swf, T1_dialPad_gloss.swf, T1_dialPad_rotary.swf & dialpads.txt with these 3 file names (actually took the dialPad.txt file and deleted the ones I didn't copy).  I am using the stock Water theme that came with the phone (but do have the other themes installed but deactivated in the ExtIntSettings.xml file). T

Results:
1. dialPad.txt file = 1/gloss/blueice/rotary.... When I touch call, the dialPad Loader screen flashes with a message  'undefined', and 'Gloss' is displayed and works. Touching the battery does not do anything.
2. dialPad.txt file = 1/blueice/gloss/rotary.... When I touch call, the dialPad Loader screen flashes with a message  'undefined', the 'Water' dialpad is displayed with no numbers. Touching the battery brings up the loader. You can scroll left and right, the correct names are displayed. ('Undefined' is displayed again. If you select Gloss, it is displayed correctly but you can not touch the battery again.

I even made a \LGAPP\flash\dialpads\dialpads\ folder and copied everything to it to.
Confused...You bettcha.

I do like the blueice one and would like to get it working.

I downloaded it at 2:30pm, Mon 1/26.
