I know this is an old topic, but I am having this exact problem.
I switched from using my CU920, over to a TU915 on ATT, and am now having this internet problem.
I have called ATT, but they have been NO help (what a surprise). I had already setup the new MEdia Net "connections", and adjusted the browser settings, and the ATT rep said that those _should_ work.
I did ask them about the 'MediaNet Unlimited' plan _VS_ a plan called 'AFMEDIA NETUNL'.
Apparently, the 'AFMEDIA NETUNL' plan is used for smart phones (palm, blackberry, etc), and should not be needed for me, as I have the old old Media WIX ('MediaNet Unlimited') package.
Although, to expand on this problem a little bit, I actually CAN use the built in Internet (WAP) Browser.
However, I can't just click on the Internet apps in the menu anywhere (main menu's, or the shorcut menu).
Yet, when I click on the "Task Menu", then I goto "Rogers Zone", at then takes me to my the ATT MEdia Net homepage (http://device.home
). From there, I can WAP surf the internet, download Opera Mini, etc.
However, when I try and launch Opera Mini, it tells me that my phone needs an internet plan, and I should contact my service provider.
Google Maps does the same thing.
To me, this REALLY seems like the Rogers internet profiles on my phone are still active for some things.
Does anyone know how to remove them completely? Or to make sure that they do NOT get used?
Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated.
