DemonicHawk,

The EPI V0.5 works great, especially the autoScreenLockTimer mod. I set it to '0' and call my VM and the keyboard did not lock up. This is one function that most, if not all LG VU users hate the most. This one mod should be the MAIN feature of the EIP v0.5

OT: On the tutorial for the EIP (Readme PDF page 2), the following steps should be added, BEFORE Installation Part 2, to clarify the installation process:
0.5) Read the Basic Extended Interface Setting on page 4 to set your desired settings within ExtIntSettings.xml file.
4) Click on "Disconnect" in the BitPim/EFS program and disconnect your LG VU from the computer.
5) Your LG VU should automatically restart with newly installed features. If it doesn't restart automatically, restart manually.

These added steps should clarify the tutorial a lot.

Thanks for the EIP!

Again, I thank you a million more times. I had the opportunity to further tweak my LG VU using the EIP's Item Lists (for each phone types) on pages 8-11 of the readme PDF.  Editing the ExtIntSettings.xml file was easy, using the readme pdf and I am ready for additional modification, namely a refined Item List that goes into deeper levels after each tab.

For example, replacing the AT&T Music () with a Music Player. Or, being able to place an icon for "Flight Mode" on the main screen. An updated list of all items below the main tabs would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I am having a problem with the walkman theme. Everything is working fine on the rest of the themes except the walkman one... All i get is a blue screen. I can go to the widget but i do not see anything.. and i can get to the settings but nothing will work till i change the color on on the text.. If i dont change any thing on the theme it just stays blue.. with white icons? I can drag on the bar thingy.. and it turns it black.. thats it... Im sure everything i did was perfect.. but idk it just doesnt work.

Appreciate the update!  Good work!!

One problem... my custom dialpads no longer work.  I try to change by pointing to the battery icon while in the dial pad and it doesn't work anymore.  I can change themes though.

Got them back, had to replace the T1_dialpad.swf back to the one in this post.

Do I need necessarily to delete the T1_dialpad.swf, because that dialpad is the dialpad loader and if I replace it I will not be able to use another dialpad. Another ?, I deleted d thememanager and I overwrite d T1_menu.swf but when I set d autoscreenlocktimer on '0' and I make a call d screen still locking. Thank u in advance for d help.

Hi,

I found, from personal experience, that I did not need to delete the T1_dialpad.swf in order for the different dial pads to work (dial pads I have loaded: alien, underwater, blueice, money, transformers, scorpion). In fact, the T1_dialpad.swf in the extended interface v0.5 caused some of my dial ads to show up dark.

The key,  imo, is to ensure that you select ONYX as your theme in order for the dial pads to work properly. <-- Doing thiis solved my problem. Also, adding additional dial pads were not affected, as long as the dialpad.txt file is updated as well.

On the topic of screen lock, you need to modify the ExtIntSettings.xml file. Go into ExtIntSettings.xml, using a notepad and near the bottom, you will see . Set this to:
<sub autoScreenLockTimer='0'/>

This did the trick for me. Note, that the screen will lock initially, once you are in a call mode. Unlock the pad once and the screen will remain unlocked for the full duration of the call.

Hope this helps.

This is not made for any phone other than the Vu CU920, CU915, & TU915 Versions.

Do I HAVE to use a usb data cable?

Yes, first question in the Themes' FAQs: Read First!:

Q1: Do I need a cable to put these themes on my phone?
A1: Yes. You MUST have a USB Data Cable to install themes on your phone. The reason for this is that you must
get into the phones "File System" to add the files necessary for adding the themes.
