Well see the problem with the idea of cycles, is the cycles of Carbon usually are not as volatile as the temperature differences. Of course as stated we are at 390 ppm, 450 ppm equals no ice caps (Triassic Period is labeled at having very small, to no ice caps). But with that being said, to say that the cycles theory isn't possible, would be saying that I am smarter than scientist, which I am not, but to say that it is the most likely of the causes would be saying I disagree with a vast majority of the scientific community, which I don't believe I have the mental capacity to do that.

1. Sunspot activity is cyclical.  It is currently reducing the sun's warming radiation.  Recent years have highest levels of sunspot activity in history as evidenced by the increase in radiation cataracts occurring in astronauts.  In history, of high activity are followed by years of low activity.
2. CO2 is an incredibly heavy gas.  The "greenhouse effect" is caused more by (the much lighter) H2O than CO2.  To extrapolate a little further... from what I have read, CO2 is 380 ppm whereas H2O is an incredulous 30,000 ppm.
3. General Electric (GE) owns NBC.  NBC was/is a terrible culprit in talking up the global warming epidemic.  GE makes a great deal of money by selling various forms of alternative energy.  Follow the money.
4. Too many people still reference Michael Mann's "Hockey Stick" diagram as a sign of global warming.
5. Climate scientists are too secretive with their data collection and referencing methods.  They do not share their work amongst the community... their research is theirs alone.
6. It is well-documented that the size of glaciers in Greenland as well as the Arctic and Antarctic circles are increasing.

And on a more personal note... Miera, you continue to be very rude to me and I don't appreciate any of your flippant and/or condescending remarks.  I would appreciate if you would stop.

1. Sunspots actually produce a higher level of heat, and a higher level of radiation. Source. The usage of the data were sunspots coincide with a drop in normal temperature, is merely consequential.
2. The heaviness of the gas actually helps to explain the reason for Global Warming. H20, as you stated, is much lighter, which is why we have rain cycles and clouds, the lighter the gas, the easiest it is to recycle out. CO2, with its greater density, has a harder time being moved through the same processes H2O goes through. So they stay in the air and trap UV rays. Also H2O has never been known to be able to trap any forms of rays, and in fact H2O just deflects the rays, which is the basic principle of our vision, and the same band in which we can see.
3. And this means what??? Murdoch owns Fox News, the NY Post, the Wall Street Journal, Fox Business, etc. And they constantly talk down Global Warming, and it means what to whether this is real or not? By the way, I don't go to MSNBC for my scientific evidence, I use scientific journals.
4. Again, not for sure how this shows the validity of Global Warming or not.
5. I have never seen any evidence of this. All my evidence comes from Scientific Journals, and most scientists need to report their claims so that it can be accepted or denied by the scientific community.
6. Not so good evidence, Ok Evidence

I don't have any journals that I can reference for newer claims like that, since I don't want to pay for them right now, I will just give those two for right now.

frich, I personally don't have a problem with you (you can actually be pretty funny sometimes...).  But when you're asking MIERA to not be "rude" to you, I find that funny since I've seen you recently go around the site and start "trolling" again like you did in the beginning. Huh?
