My phone is stuck on the Error! config.xml not found! Theme not uploaded screen. As luck would have it the top of my touch screen doesn't respond so I can't get to menus, and also my phone is in mass storage at the moment, so I have no way of changing it to Data Service to fix this. Wondering if there's a way to get to the menu screen and/or fixing it from mass storage?

Ok I am confused, that error is for a theme, not a bricked phone, so why can't you access the thememanger? And did you try hitting the End Call Button, seeing that worked? And what theme are you trying to load? Nothing here screams bricked phone, but rather it screams a confused forum member.

Yes the phone is clearly not bricked but if there is no access to a menu then getting the gang image screen should give access to the phone files and then umstizzle you can fix what you may have forgotten to add..
Sorry for the confusion as my previous post was a little short on what could be done.
Sumo thank you for pointing that out.

Like I said, the top of my touch screen doesn't respond so im unable to get to any menus including theme manager. End call does nothing. My phone is on mass storage so the gang image just gets me to my media folders unless im mistaken. I messed up when trying to install the iphone theme. Been awhile since i had messed with themes. Threw the swf file in the right place, just not everything else. Just need to reset the phone, because right now, its like bricked. Sorry about grammar and such, typing on a psp

And restarting the phone didn't do anything? If the iPhone isn't the first theme on your themelist it will load another theme. Also the gang image screen will allow you to connect to EFS no matter what.

I know why it happened. When loading your music, a file got stuck half way, causing a corrupted connection, which leads to a bricked phone. You just got lucky and your computer recongized the phone and either killed the transfer or in laymens terms told the phone to not worry about the file, and the phone acted like the file was complete.

i did the unlock on this website, and that didn't work.  i renamed the lgapp folder, put the factory one in, restarted the phone, then took out the old lgapp folder from the phone.  it still says "reflashing".  HOW DO I FIX IT?
