Using AIM on my phone.

I have unlimited texting, but I have 0 internet access on my phone.
I am unable to sign in to AIM from my phone. It tells me "Connection Closed, Retry?"

Is it safe to assume that while messages back and forth count as texting, one must have internet access to sign on? If not, is there a way for me to fix this?

Nevermind, I found my answer. That always happens, after searching forever and not finding something, I make a post and find it right away, sigh.

Yeah I am in the same dilemma. I have unlimited texting but do not have internet. I am trying to use the AIM application. I know there is a way to do it. I am just not sure how to on the LG Vu. I would appreciate if you could share the answer on this forum.

Nvm. I just found out how. My carrier is AT&T and they said that with unlimited texting, IM is free even if it is using Media Net to get online. The reason it would be saying "Connection Closed, Retry?" is if you're not getting a decent signal. I had to get a 3G signal before I could sign on.

Yes i am having the same problem.
I have unlimited texting family plan w/ ATT
but when i try to get on aim i get Connection Closed Retry?
and i cant use MEdia Net

Either that or you have internet blocked on your phone ( call att to have it disabled)
