I tried all of these things and I escaped the blue screen of death--but--I cannot access the phone to call-or text-I cannot get any kind of 3g or phone tower access. I can take pix video use bluetooth listen to music- use my calender-but no phone service!!! I am not sure what file to start with. I had already reported this phone as lost and I got another phone to replace it.  It showed up about 4 months later and that is when I tried to fix it and got this far--it is just an awesome mp3-camera-video-multiuse non phone. ANY suggestions?

Smiley Thanks Alot, My fiancee's phone, started beeping like the battery was low and when she plugged it in, all we got was the AT&T screen and nothing else, I used method C, to copy the whole lgapp folder over and it worked like a charm.
I didnt know the right software version, but after looking through the filesystem under, lgapp/media folder there was a version file there which i opened with notepad and the version was in the first line

I encountered a blue screen when I was changing schemes and decided to change the font also before I rebooted. I've tried all of these methods over and over, and it still goes to a blue screen every time. Another member walked me through each method and we tried them repeatedly last night, but I still cannot access the phones filesystem. EFS shows the hardware, but can't connect. Does anybody know any other tricks that haven't been attempted to access my phone? There are only 2 other screens I've been able to get to work on my phone and that is the emergency download screen (by holding the 4 side buttons at once and hitting power) or another screen which says "entering download mode" while its at the blue screen (by holding the back button thats in between the call/end keys). Of couse, I can see the phone as a different device in EFS, but still cannot access the filesystem. Any advice would be appreciated and I'll be sure to share how I got mine fixed when and if I do. :\

Here is my error:

Alright, people will probably think i'm a 'tard, but I'm pretty sure that I screwed up my phone.  I changed the font and didn't like the way it looked, so when I changed it back I renamed the original first and then deleted the new one, and they both deleted. I put the font file from my backup in there and I got the bluescreen, so I checked the font file and it was reading only 1kb, so I deleted the LGAPP file and replaced it with the backup(should of re-read this post first). Now all I get is the at&t screen. Is my phone trash now or is it fixable? I can get into the files still by using the IMEI screen to get into the EFS. PLEASE Somebody help a tard! Tongue

Try this fix posted by gcobb:

1. Download the LG Vu firmware files from this site (http://www.lg-vu.com/index.php?topic=3902.0). Unzip it.  These files contain the entire LGAPP firmware folder. Then unzip it. It should create a LGAPP directory with every file that was on your phone when you got it. I know DH said to not replace the entire LGAPP folder because it may brick your phone but, hey, it's already bricked so not a problem.
2. Get into EFS and connect with your phone. Get to the gang screen on your phone using the steps if you have to.
3. Rename the LGAPP folder to something else (LGAPP_bad). Do not delete it. There are some files that are read only and you get an error message replacing them when you copy the new LGAPP on top of an existing LGAPP directory. This doesn't happen if you rename the old LGAPP to LGAPP_bad before you do the copy.
4. Copy the LGAPP directory you unzipped above to the phone and restart it.

Try this:

Hold down the Call End button (Red) and the Call button (Green) at the same time until the blue screen goes away, then see if your phone is in Data service mode.

If that doesn't work, then Try getting the GANG/IMEI Screen by holding down all four buttons on the Right side of the phone (Lock, Camera, and the two Volume Rocker keys), until you get the GANG/IMEI screen. Then connect to EFS and see if you can see the file system.

Also if you have CU920 v10s DEC 12 software version, make sure you run LGMDP every time you want to access EFS.

Then try Method D:   Wink

Method D) If you find that you cannot stay in the gang image screen above, meaning it turns blue/black with error fatal when you connect to the phone, then do this: Remove the SIM card out and turn on the phone. Hopefully you will get the emergency call screen to display (where you can only make 911 calls). Connect to your phone now and replace the files.
