- This is the Official LG TU915 Vu Installation CD, it includes the Syncronization Software, Contacts Manager, Contents Manager, Internet Kit, Backup Tool, Media Player and the USB Driver.

- The most basic tool you'll need for modding your Vu, it gives you access to the phone's file system. Although it only has support for CDMA phones, there is a workaround to use it with the Vu.

- This tool is similar to BitPim as it does not have direct support for the Vu, one of the main things it can do that BitPim cannot is renaming files/folders. This allows for access to prohibited directories such as PXO. It can be said to be a more dangerous tool and only the more experienced users should use it. 4. Filetype Basics

Download Filetypes:Frequently used filetypes at LG-VU.com include zip, rar, txt, xml, and swf file extensions.
ZIP files need to be unpackaged/extracted using the
Windows Compressed (zipped) Folders tool;
RAR files need to be unpackaged/extracted using programs such as
WinZip or
winRAR.
****After the files are extracted, they can be dealt with as normal files & folders.
TXT (text) files can be edited in
Notepad or
Wordpad. README and certain phone system modification files may be in this format.
XML files can also be opened & edited using
Notepad or
Wordpad, but can also be edited with web-specific editing programs, such as
Microsoft Expression Web. XML files are almost always involved in hacking your Vu.
Lastly,
SWF, or ShockwaveFlash, files, can only be modified by those that truly know the workings of flash-based programs. These files can sometimes be opened using your web browser, and may usually provide a preview of what a flash-based mod will look like on your phone. A flash decompiler is needed to alter these files.
