k This is how you change the sound of your phone when your turn it off and on.

1) Launch Bitpim
2) Go to LGAPP, Media, Midis, and Effect Sound
3) Look at two files in there - Power Up Final and Power Down Final
4) Download any sound or ring tone you like, and simply rename that ring tone to either PowerUpFinal or PowerDownFinal and replace that with the original file.
5) Restart your phone and you will notice the diff! and thats it your done!!!

Note: PowerUpFinal is the sound it would make when you turn on your phone. PowerDownFinal would make the sound when you shut off your phone. And the tones you use must be .mp3!!!

Im have uploaded some sound files, so try it out and feel free to upload any nice sound effect tones!!! if you think some of the ring tones are long, then you could always cut um. Enjoy!!!!

Updates: So if you want to have a short ringtone that would match the att animation, simple cut the powerupfinal to 5-7secs. and PowerdownFinal to 6 sec. Here is an example: Im using the M-60 as a start up and one missed call for off. You could download one missed call and m-60 gun from the bottom list.

Rogers_PowerOff.paf and Rogers_PowerOn.paf can later be substituted for these animations, once that editing ability is released...

This is pretty cool.

For now, I have a short intro for War's "Lowrider" as my startup song, and the XP remix as the power down.  I started by used the XP remix as the power up, but didn't realize what the "remix" was...so when it started repeatedly playing the error tone, I thought the phone locked up. Embarrassed  Since it doesn't take the phone long to power down, only a little of the XP mp3 plays, and it's less scary.

lol

I'm still trying to find a good power on tone.  The playstation sound is lame.  The xbox360 one flows well with the fly-by of the 3G to good-bye.  Think I'll use one of cool's sound files that he posted.

If you think the ringtones are too long, then you could always make um short by cutting it. there are tons of programs out there that will do it for u. jus google it.  i use nero wave editor to do it.

Well here's the XBOX360 Powerdownfinal that I've been using.  I think it flows very well with the off animation.

* PowerDownFinal.mp3 (78.8 KB - downloaded 525 times.)

I would like to find the "bought a new car" sound from Gran Tourismo....not sure if anyone is familiar with that but that's what I'd love to use for on and/or off.
